SPARKY THE FIRE DOG

October is fire safety month but we should practice fire safety all year long. Many potential fire hazards go undetected because people simply do not take the necessary steps to fireproof their home. Barth Insurance wants to remind you about Fire Prevention throughout your home to keep your family safe in the event of a fire emergency. What should you check on? What can you improve? Do you have a fire escape plan?

One of the most important items on your checklist should be knowing where your home insurance policy is and the important phone numbers you would need in the unfortunate event of a fire in your home. Changing smoke alarm batteries seems obvious but often goes forgotten. Do you have carbon monoxide detectors installed throughout the different levels of your house? Is your fire extinguisher easily accessible? These are just a few of the essential ways to keep your family safe from fire. Please view this helpful fire prevention checklist provided by the U.S. Fire Administration

During Fire Prevention Week start tackling your home fire checklist and have a family safety plan in place in case of ANY emergency. Call Barth Insurance if you have questions about your home insurance policy fire guidelines or need to acquire better, more affordable coverage. Practice Fire Safety now and throughout the year!
